Making All Things New
2022 is here and Lone Gold is making things happen. Aaron Phillips will give us an idea about what lies ahead and where we are in the development process.
Happy New Year!!!
Now that we are in 2022, it's time to put the past year in the rearview mirror. We should always remember the good times we had and learn from those seemingly bad moments we'd rather soon forget. That is something we all have to deal with in the course of our lives.
As this opening paragraph pertains to the developments at Lone Gold, we all (myself included) have to take everything that we have done in stride and make those moments count. Given the mistakes that we have made throughout the years, it's very difficult to put those words in to practice. But thanks to those who have endured the shortcomings of myself and others, we are going in the right direction.
If you have read my first two postings, you will have a general idea about the progress we have made at Lone Gold in 2021. Which means that some of the things I am pointing out are going to come off like an old, broken record. But, since it has been a little over month since I have posted here, things have changed. In other words, blink and you might miss.

Over the last few weeks, we have looked at those previous postings to see how far along we have gotten. We are doing very well with our sports platform. However, we have not been as productive with the main site and The Gamer Experience Review (GXPR).
Now that we are in the new year, things are going to change. As you read further, you will see how we are going to incorporate some old concepts from the days pre-dating Lone Gold and give them a renewed purpose.
Let's start simple
I have been very pleased with the development that Lone Gold Sports. We have been able to get the content out clean and efficient. The presentation of the website is simple, yet elegant. At the same time, we have been able to increase the functionality to give our customers the information they are looking for. The feedback I have personally received has echoed that sentiment.
With that said, we do have plans to expand the presence of the sports site. The major development we have in the works is to give Lone Gold Sports its own blog. After much discussion over the past month, we all agreed that the sports content was more distracting from the point we were wanting to make. On top of that, we really wanted to more with the sports content without drowning out the other content we planned on putting in this blog.
So far, everything is on schedule. It's all a matter of finding the time to design the new blog. We are on pace to launching the new blog by next month. I will be going into more detail on the significance of each section.
The things we do for love
Long story short, I have never been a fan of writing things down. It's not that writing cannot be enjoyable from time to time. More or less, it's just a struggle for me to find the right words to explain certain feelings that I may have. I can express myself verbally with no problem. But when it comes to writing or typing, I become more anxious thanks in part to spelling and grammar checks.
With that said, it is very important to be able to express one's self in the written form. That way you have concrete proof that someone is saying what they intend to convey. In a big way, it is saying how much someone loves you. That is something we all need to be saying more often than not. It is something that I know I also need to be doing. So, here is what I am trying to say.
Back when we were going through the struggles of Lone Gold, I stumbled upon something from my past. Staring me right in my face was this old blog I started called "The RTP". It was a scouting blog that I mentioned earlier that I was working on long before Lone Gold was a twinkle in my eye.
As Lone Gold was bring launched, the plan was always to incorporate the RTP in to the sports website. But, as time marched on, we never got around to doing that. While there were past attempts to bring the old blog into the fold, something else would come up and we would wind up back at square one.
Now that significant progress has been made over the past three months, we have been able to focus our attention back to the RTP. Thanks to all the hard work and determination of our people, we now have a plan that will fit into the integration of Lone Gold.
For the time being, the RTP will be part of our blog in this capacity and our new sports blog. You may have noticed that we didn't define what the "RTP" stands for. There was a lot of input on what the acronym should stand for. At the end of the day, we couldn't come to a consensus, because all the names we came up with made sense. So, we're going to leave that alone...for now.
The whole point of the RTP is to spotlight a product, company, or service to give you an idea of what is possible. Like a scouting report, you will see analysis with carefully worded insight. But instead of being presented as a summarized report, there will be more detail involved.
Right now, we are fine tuning the process. Over the next few weeks, we will be running some offline tests to see what works and what doesn't. We are expecting the RTP to be ready to go in the next 3 months (at the very latest).
But, given how easy the implementation has been, we feel that it can be ready a whole lot sooner. In the mean time, you can stay in the loop by subscribing to our social media platforms and we'll let you know what happens next.
Clearing the air
There are times where an idea sounded much better in my head than when I said it out loud. When I launched The GXPR nearly two years ago, the site alone made sense. But when I decided to incorporate that with Lone Gold, the explanation got muddled somewhere down the line. So, here I am to give you some much needed context that will hopefully give you clarity.
As I have said in my first blog post, The GXPR is a site focused on gaming room design. The whole idea has always been to promote products that can turn any room into the ultimate gaming room. Because Lone Gold is more market focused, we felt that we The GXPR would be a perfect fit. However, when we got the sports site up to full speed, the messaging became conflicting and we were losing our focus.
One thing I want to make crystal clear is that there is no such thing as a "one size fits all" marketing strategy. Just because one idea may work for one of our platforms, does not guarantee that it will work on others. At Lone Gold, we are going to find a strategy that works no matter what.
With that said, we are going to be working diligently to promote The GXPR better. So far, we started a campaign to join our mailing list for free. As part of our promotion, we are offering "The Ultimate Gaming Room Guide" as a gift for signing up. Of course, being on our email list is just the beginning.
Somewhere down the road (possibly this summer), we are going to be implementing the Lone Gold Ranking System into The GXPR. It has always been a desire of ours to get in to the video game scene at some level. We just didn't think Lone Gold Sports was the appropriate platform for that.
Now that we have The GXPR online, I know we can do much more than we could have ever dreamed of. We are not yet completely sure over how we are going to make all this possible. But over the past several months, we are making significant process in the planning phase. Once we have all the details figured out and all the confusion cleared, we will be ready in no time.
It's off to work we go
Near the end of 2021, we found our footing and we are looking to kick things into high gear in 2022. It's been a long road. and yes, it is due to get even longer. But, if we continue to work as hard as we have in the past three months, the road won't be so difficult.
While there are other projects on the books for us, the Lone Gold Sports Blog, RTP, and The GXPR are ones that are closer to completion. In the meantime, we will continue to work on engaging with you better on our sites and social media platforms.
Most importantly, we love you and thank you for your support. Until next time, have a great month everyone.
