Now We're Cooking
We've got our stuff in place. The only thing left to do is get them ready for your use.
Curbing our enthusiasm
The redesign of our sites went well for the most part. However, the last couple of weeks has thrown us for a loop. Long story short, we were dealing with changes in the interface and it's one of those things that are beyond our control. Although the change did trip us up, the quality of our sites were not affected.
Still, there were other developments we were wanting to get off the ground by September that will be delayed. As a upsetting as this reality is, this is all part of the development process. Development always takes steps forward and backwards throughout the journey. Just as long as we are taking more of the steps forward, I've got no complaints.
In this case, Lone Gold has been even in this regards. As disappointing as this news is, our efforts have not been lacking. That to me is a good reason to be optimistic. For the time being, we will continue to work hard to make these developments more accessible to you. Here is what's going on thus far.
Gold Star Member update
One of the things that I have been pleased about is getting a direct link to our membership page. The major hurdle that we just recently cleared was getting our name to appear in the tab. Because of all that mess, we haven't been able to focus our attention on the design of our other pages. We have also received complaints that our membership sign up process is not accessible.
All I can tell you is that our partners have been working hard to fix these bugs. You can only do so much to put out a quality product that satisfies the most basic needs. But now, that these issues have been dealt with, we can turn our focus to developing the rest of the page.
Hopefully, we will be ready to get Gold Star Member fully functional by October. In the meantime, we will be working on making the sign up pages more accessible and functional for all of our platforms. That shouldn't take us too long.
As I have said on numerous occasions, there will be a free version and a paid version. Hopefully, by next month we will give you access to sign up for both options. At the rate we're going, October looks more like a realistic target.
Lone Gold Shop update
One of the developments I was hoping to get off the back burner last year was Lone Gold Shop. We had a whole slew of issues that made this development more trouble than what it was worth. As we are currently almost through the year 2022, we have not been sure if this would be able to get off the ground.
The biggest issue for us has been receiving payments online. Getting a payment system setup has been a tough go to establish on this particular site. If we cannot pay our vendors what they deserve, then there is no point in setting up the shop at all. We have received tons of inquiries about people wanting to become vendors in our storefront.
All I can say is that we will be working and testing out these payment gateways to see what works best for everyone. If things go smoothly, we are looking at a late October-early November launch date. From the way things have been going, I cannot personally guarantee that will happen. We'll keep you updated as we go along.
Pathfinder app update
Despite everything being in the planning stages, I have been real pleased with how everything is going. With the website up and fully operational, we are ready to begin work on this development right now. The website will go through some minor fixes, but for the most part, we are looking forward to seeing what this app can do.
The app will hopefully be arriving in late September/early October. If not, we'll let you know when. The Pathfinder by Lone Gold app should be available for free in the Apple and Google Play Store. Make sure to check out the Pathfinder and our corporate websites for more details.
Conclusion
Lone Gold has come a long way from where we were since November of last year. The development process has been a mixed bag of joy and frustration, but it's been worth it. I know I ask you all to be patient with us and for the most part you have been. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to you for that.
The next three months are going to be critical and once again I am asking you to bear with us through this process. Nothing is going to come easy and you should all be made aware of this situation. We've made it this far, the only thing that will stop us will be us.
As long as we work hard and stay focused, we will not be our own worst enemy. Everything we are doing will make the marketing and advertising aspect of our business a worthwhile experience. Until then, we are going back to work and are looking forward to our next meeting.
