United We Stand
The weather is getting hotter, and so is the action at Lone Gold. What do we have in store? You'll have to read more to find out.
Cautiously optimistic
There are plenty of reasons to be excited right now. For starters, the 4th of July is coming up. Having great food and drink with awesome friends and family is always a good excuse to celebrate this holiday. It is also a time to show appreciation for those who makes these sacrifices that still gives us the freedom to enjoy what we have.
At Lone Gold, that has been the idea for this whole month of June. We are excited about what's been going on in the development process. Yet, there have been times where the process has been more hell on the nerves than a pleasure cruise. That was to be expected. It was in the ecstasy and agony that we knew we were doing the right thing.
For those of you have not read my blog post last month, I talked about the developments that we were working on (read Crisis & Opportunity here). Some of them are still a work in progress. But, there was one development that I was really wanting to get running and it's now available.
Don't get me wrong, we are hard at work with the other developments. It was just this particular development was getting more attention than any of the others. What is this development of which I speak? How will this affect our websites? I'll explain in great detail what this means for all our sites and platforms.
Pathfinder by Lone Gold explained (lgpathfinder.com)
The wait is officially over, Pathfinder is finally off the ground. While the plans were years in the making, we only had a limited window to build and launch the platform. Since our sports platform was entering our slowest time of the season, now was the perfect opportunity to make our move. Now that Pathfinder is up and running, here is what our plans are and how it all is going to work.
Pathfinder will basically be functioning as our advertising department. Even though it will work as it's own website, it will also serve to seamlessly connect all of our platforms associated with Lone Gold. There are two kinds of ads we are planning to run.
As you may have already guessed, we are going to run traditional ads on all of our platforms. These ads will be designed for companies (large and small) who want to run a customized campaign that will convert traffic into customers. Like any ad that is run on a webpage, they can be word ads or banner ads. That is only the first kind of ad we are talking about.
The other kind of ad we are running is called a profile ad. Profile Ads are landing pages that we have designed to help you make some extra money. All you have to do is create a profile, post your content, and receive endorsements. For every endorsement you receive, you will receive a certain amount based on the level you signed up for. These kinds of ads are great for those who are looking to establish and maintain their brands.

Gold Star Member is on it's way
While I would like to say that the membership is on schedule, there have been new updates that cause us to have to make significant changes. The site will be a subdomain of Lone Gold, but can be accessed from any of our platforms. Our target is going to be near the end of July.
Even if the site is not ready by then, Gold Star Member will go on as planned. As I have mentioned in previous posts, the membership will have a free option or you can pay for the VIP option. For the time being, we will be offering membership purchases through Lone Gold and Pathfinder. We will be expanding those opportunities on our other platforms over the summer.
I will be discussing the next steps with our membership in my next posting. Until then, we hope you leave us some comments on what you would like our membership site to feature. You can also leave us a message on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
Upcoming changes
Here is a list of changes we are going to be making this summer. These changes will affect all of our sites and how we operate.
- Membership login access from the main navigation on all sites
- Our terms of use, privacy policy, and FAQ's will be updated
- RTP research will be available on all sites
- The sports site will still conduct rankings as we have in years past. Our emphasis will be on athlete marketing and research.
- The GXPR over time will conduct player rankings in conjunction with product reviews we are already doing.
Conclusion
As you look through the Pathfinder website, we hope you gives us some ideas of what your expectations are. Even though Pathfinder will be more focused on advertising, we are looking forward to kicking off our market research arm on this site.
We are all about what has developed over the past couple of months. There is still much work to be done on all of our platforms and we're going to get right back to the task at hand. But for the time being, let us celebrate this holiday that has given us the freedoms that we so enjoy.
Thank you all for your support everyone,
